Dr Jehan Hamid completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney and a further 18 months fellowship training in shoulder, elbow, and hand surgery. He is up to date with the latest techniques and technologies, including computer navigated shoulder replacements and arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder and wrist. During his training he worked with upper limb surgery teams at Prince of Wales Hospital, Concord Hospital and Sydney Hand Hospital.
He completed the Sydney Fellowship in Advanced Upper Limb Surgery, the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital Upper Limb Fellowship, and the BARTS Bone and Joint Upper Limb Fellowship at The Royal London Hospital, the largest trauma centre in Europe.
Dr Hamid has a relaxed and professional manner and is passionate about ensuring his patients receive the best possible outcomes. His training and research interests inform his patient-centred decision making.
He operates at Wollongong Private Hospital, Wollongong Day Surgery and Shellharbour Private Hospital, and is also a locum visiting surgeon at The Wollongong Hospital and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital.
